Calcite/ Calcium Carbonate

Calcite is a carbonate mineral with the chemical formula CaCO3. It often occurs in a variety of colors, including white, gray, yellow, green, blue, and red due to impurities. Calcite has a hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively soft and it has a vitreous to resinous luster. It commonly forms in sedimentary environments, especially in limestone and marble. Calcite is also known for its unique property of double refraction, where light passing through it is split into two rays. This mineral is widely used in industry, in products like Paints & Coating, Plastics, Paper, Pharmaceutical, cement, and agricultural lime, and it’s also popular in the production of ornamental objects and jewelry.

AMCI produces a range of Calcite of different Brightness and Particle Sizes. Our Super White High purity Calcite are micronized and closely controlled to offer uniform particle size, this Natural Calcite produced from the finest quality resources procured domestically and internationally.
